New Year sees new recruit
February 2008

Brian Keatings joins Toolbox Buddy as a multi-skilled Professional Handyman. Brian, 42, has extensive practical ability combined with valuable customer service experience - most recently gained with Honda.

Brian was recommended to us by Melvyn as part of our in-house reward scheme for attracting new recruits. Brian was put through our standard rigorous selection process of face-to face interviews and practical skills trials and we're pleased to announce that he passed with flying colours.

Brian lives in Lordswood and is happily married with 5 children. He's looking forward to getting out and about in his Toolbox Buddy van and we welcome him to the Team.

Expansion leads to move
September 2007

We've outgrown our previous home and moved to Abbey Enterprise Centre on the outskirts of Romsey. Our new offices have extra desks to expand our Support Team along with greater space for workshop and storage facilities.

Abbey Enterprise Centre is just off Premier Way on Abbey Park Industrial Estate. It has great road links for our mobile workforce to continue serving you efficiently throughout the Hampshire region.

A warm welcome to Melvyn
July 2007

Toolbox Buddy welcomes multi-talented Melvyn Toop to the Team. Melvyn, 45, joins us having spent his last 25 years working as a Maintenance Technician for British American Tobacco - although he never used their products!

BAT has recently shifted their production operations overseas and Melvyn accepted voluntary redundancy as a result. We were quick to spot Melvyn’s skills and potential during our latest round of recruitment.

After a series of trials in the field, Melvyn was selected for his excellent work rate and superb attention to detail. He has an extensive portfolio of successful home improvement projects which he's carried out over the years.

Melvyn lives in Marchwood and is happily married with two daughters.

Karate Bob is latest Buddy
March 2007

Toolbox Buddy welcomes a new addition to the Team. Meet multi-skilled tradesman Bob Batchelor. Bob, 54, is a 5th Dan Black Belt in Karate - so we'll be doing our best not to upset him as he settles in to our way of running things!

Bob has more than 20 years experience in the plumbing and building trade, gained working with some of the region's most prestigious companies.

Bob brings an abundance of experience to the Team - he has a City & Guilds in Welding Engineering and was chosen for his excellent problem solving skills in plumbing and electrics.

Bob lives in Freemantle and is happily married with a son and a daughter. He loves keeping fit and swims a few miles each week - he also plays the guitar in a local band.
